Card Purse

Here are some card "purses" I made for a silent auction my two good friends are doing to help raise money for the Breast Cancer 3Day. I originally found this idea on our CTMH bulliten board from a fellow consultant Tharesa. There are two Christmas sets, one all occasion, and three smaller 4x4 card sets. Hopefully they're a big success and raise a bit of money!

Materials: All cardstock, B/T papers, inks, markers, brads, ribbons, punches and stamp sets are CTMH. If you want the detailed list, just ask.
Other: a contraband apoxy sticker from somewhere I went like 8 years ago that I don't remember.

Let Freedom Ring!

This card is one of many that I am making for birthday cards for Job's Daughters of Washington. My dad is currently the Associate Grand Guardian of WA and him and his counterpart have a patriotic theme with the heart being their emblem. The asked me to make the birthday cards for all their officers and Past Grands of the state. Over 50 in all, and only 10 done! Yikes! Just waiting on some more paper to come in the mail. It's been a really fun time though. I hope everyone like them.

Materials: Outdoor Denim textured CS, White Daisy CS, "Playful Flourishes" SS, "Vintage USA" SS, "Soul Mates" SS, "Gracious Greetings" SS, Outdoor Denim and Cranberry ink pads, liquid glass--All CTMH. Red embossed paper is from unknown company-programs that they had made by a copy companythat did it wrong-free to me!

My Little Man

On February 17th, 2008 a true miracle arrived in this world in the beautiful form of Tyler Joseph Moore. He is the first child of my best friends Katie and Eric. As a special gift, ever the mini album maker that I am, I created this layer book to present the first moments of his life. It was a perfect gift since I know Katie so well that it would probably be something that would take her until his 18th birthday to finish. ;)

Materials used: mini album kit from JA, Autumn Terracotta card stock, regular brads, spirals, hemp and distressing ink from CTMH, metal phrase embelliesand fancy brads from Making Memories, and love!!

Personal Achievement

So I recently became a Consultant for Close To My Heart in March, and as an insentive for new Consultants they created a program called Straight To The Top (STTT). With this program, if you sell at least $1,800 in your first three months they reward you with $150 in FREE PRODUCT!! What an insentive!

As of June 8th I achieved this goal, and then some! On July 8th I was given my reward and was so excited to have earned all this fun product for myself!! Yeah! It was surprisingly easy to reach this point. I look forward to many more months and years of sucess with this terrific company! If you'd like to learn more about being a CTMH Consultant, contact me! It's so FUN!!

Fun and frilly card

Horrible picture, sorry. I think that's why I tend to avoid scrapbooking because I'm not the best photographer. I love to make layouts, but don't have the best pictures to put in them. Need to work on that.
This is a card I made a while ago. It uses the retired stamp set "Blossom Blocks" with Bamboo, Cocoa and Autumn Terracotta cardstock. Notice that when I tore the bottom off the Autumn Terracotta cardstock that it exposed the white core that is exclusive to CTMH. Using Autumn Terracotta and Sunflower ink pads I created a reverse "rock and roll" technique by inking the center first, then rolling the stamp in Sunflower to ink the outside corners. It's finished with gold eyelets and various brown fibers.
Hope you like it!

My FIRST blog!!

This is an exciting new venture for me! I hope that you all learn a little about card making and/or are inspired by the artwork I post here. Please feel free to contact me for full instructions or if you would like to learn more about Close To My Heart (CTMH).

For my first posting, I will just let you "dip your toes" into my world of crafting. It is an example from our website. This birthday party invite card uses exclusive CTMH White Daisy cardstock as the base and patterned paper from the Good Times level 2 paper pack. The stamp set is the CTMH MyAcrylics "Party Invitation" using Sweet Leaf and Twilight stamp pads that coordinate perfectly with this paper. With pewter brads to finish the look, you can create a fun invite for your next party! There are a lot of events coming up for me that I am making cards and crafts for, so you'll see many posts in the near future. Happy crafting--Royal style!!
