Roomie gifts

Well, today is the last day of Creative University *sniff, sniff* and now I can show you the quick and simple gifts I gave to my roomates. There are six of us in one cabin, so I made 5 of the same thing. A few Crystal Light singles, a sample size Jergen's lotion, yummy Reese's pieces, my fav-Burt Bees lip balm, and one of my handmade flowers.

Now, did you notice how I used a button for one of the "o"s? Well, that was to cover up an "oopsy". I made all the wraps and cut out and inked all the Nestie shapes, but when it came to stamping I was a little challenged I guess. I accidentally spelled roomie as "rommie"! Thank goodness these buttons were just the right size to cover it up! Lol!

Materials
Stamps: CTMH For All Occasions, Chocolate Alpha
Paper: CTMH Twitterpated
Other: Clear Bags transparent box, CTMH ink, Nestie Label 7, misc. button, foam tape

Sassy Sparkle

Well, I received Miss Sparkle in the mail a while ago and finally had time to ink her up. She's so confident and sassy. Love it! Amy sure does know how to design some fantastic stamps!

Can you tell I rediscovered my Robin's Nest skittles while cleaning my scrap room? Hee hee! Hope you all have a super-duper weekend! Right about now I'm enjoying the last of my breakfast at CU and getting ready for a creative class with some uber-talented ladies. :D

Materials: Sweet November Stamps-Sparkle Thistleweed, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: CTMH cs and Bella L2pp
Other: Copics, Coluzzle, Primas, Robin's Nest skittles, CTMH inks and ribbon, foam tape

Not "Raising The Bar"

So I was totally going to design this card to follow this week's RTB challenge which says NO stamps (except sentiment). Again I was following the sketch of this cute card by Sparkle and things were going good, but then I decided that the background was too plain.
My brain must've been on auto-pilot since I reach for a stamp and stamped the flourishes on the bamboo cardstock. *head slap* Duh! NO stamps Jenn! Well, once I did that oopsy I decided to just finish it with more stamps. For the "real" RTB challenge card, look at yesterday's post.
I'm leaving today for Tresa Black's Creative University retreat! I decided to go this year (after some gentle nudging from Nona) and have some crafty fun while meeting some great ladies. CU is at a camp on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene, ID. From what I've seen from years past and sneak peeks for this year, it promises to be an absolutely fabulous weekend!
Materials
Stamps: CTMH D1418 and Fringed Phrases
Paper: CTMH cs and Bella L2pp
Other: CTMH inks, marker and paper piercer, Coluzzle, Nestie

Raise The Bar #6

This card is for Raise The Bar challenge #6 which asks that you don't use stamps (except sentiment). What?!! No stamps?! Not as hard as I thought though. The layout for this is based off of this card by Sparkle and was super fun and easy. I really like how this card turned out.
Materials
Stamps: CTMH Say it in Style (sentiment)
Paper: CTMH cs and Bella L2pp
Other: CTMH inks and paper piercer, Coluzzle, Nestie, rhinestones

Sweet Sunday #57

Isn't this owl so cute?! He looks a little sad though. I decided to paper piece him to match the Bella dp. This layout follows this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch #57.

Hope you all are enjoying the Olympics. Hasn't it been amazing?! Go USA!!

Materials
Stamps: Unity Jan and Feb KOTMs, CTMH D1418
Paper: CTMH cs and Bella L2pp

Bella-rific week

While cleaning out my scrap room to find stuff to sell at my Crafter's Garage Sale this last weekend, I came across some more CTMH Bella paper that I thought was all gone. Grrrr! So, in order to finally use up every last scrap I'm making cards all week with the (hopefully) last of this paper.

This first card uses this week's Sketchy Saturday sketch at CA&F. I thought Miss Anya with her flowers paired well with the Bella dp.

Materials
Stamps: TGF Miss Anya, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: CTMH cs and Bella L2pp
Other: CTMH inks and ribbon, Copics, Primas, EK border punch, Robin's Nest skittle

My VACATION starts today!! Yippee!! Starting it off by having my "Crafter's Garage Sale" to make some moolah for new stuff. See my post for more deets.

More Gorjussness....and a plug

Still plugging away at some cool RAK from Amy. This Gorjuss Girl was a really fun one to color. I wanted to pair her with this paper that was also in the RAK and played off the rounded squares in the dp.
Hope you all have a great weekend! If you live in the Seattle/Everett area, I'm having a "Crafter's Garage Sale" tomorrow in the Silverlake area of S. Everett from 9am-430pm. There are 6 of us that have gone through all of our craft stuff and purged items to sell. Look for the full details on Craigslist. Search "Crafter's Garage Sale".
Materials
Stamps: Gorjuss Girls, CTMH Say it in Style
Paper: KI Memories dp
Other: Copics, CTMH ink, Prima flowers, misc. buttons, corner rounder, foam tape.

Sketchy Gigi

Wow, it's amazing how things in life can sneek up on you and just pile up! Had a bit on my plate, but I managed to finish enough to play a little bit today and have some posts lined up for you.

Today's post is for CA&F Sketchy Saturday. Uses my new Gigi stamp that I won from the CA&F 12 Days of Sketches challenges when I made this card. I'll be honest, I bought all the other of the Sprouts that released the same time as Gigi, but she wasn't really my style so I didn't buy her. Guess that gave me one to win then!

See this super cool flower I made?! I've seen them around blogland and decided to give it a try. SUPER EASY!! Punched a few scalloped circles from an old book (on that a horrible read, so I felt justified) and then inked the edges, wrinkled them up, glued them together, then topped them with a button. Ta-da! It also helps me qualify for the FFF to make something "vintage".
Materials
Stamps: TGF Gigi, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: CTMH cs and Veranda dp
Other: CTMH inks, ribbon, hemp, edge distresser. Copics, Nestie, foam tape, misc. button, pearls, liquid pearls.

Valentine Quickie (hee hee!)

Happy {heart} day everyone! Like my title today? Lol! Well.....it IS a quickie: this little 3"x3" card are the Valentines I made to hand out to my co-workers and customers the last two days. I saw something simular on Vicki's blog and loved it. Super easy and fast to make. Great way I could spread a little cheer. I also attached a Reese's candy heart to the back. Yumm!

Hope you are spending today with someone you love. My girlfriend and I are spending a "Rotic" day together watching the new movie "Valentine's Day" and getting some grub.

Rotic=Romantic{minus}the man! Lol!

Materials: All CTMH. Treasures ss, Say it in Style ss, With Love ss, blush, hollyhock, baby pink, and black inks.

Sketchy Saturday #5

Again, I must say that it's nice that I can upload my challenge entries for CA&F to the TGF gallery anytime so that I can post this on my blog at my convenience. Makes it easier when I have to post other challenge cards at certain times to qualify.

So this card is created using Jessica's sketch for Sketchy Saturday #5 over at Club Anya & Friends. Yet again, I don't own an oval Nestie or anything, so I hand cut this out. Turned out pretty well if I do say so myself. :)

Materials:
Stamps: TGF Bree, Amuse sentiment
Paper: BG Lemonade dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, foam tape, 'Lil Davis ribbon, CTMH inks, BG buttons, EK punch

Another FFF with CCC Week #6

So I made this card using the same FFF sketch as yesterday's card. When I saw this dp in my stash, it reminded me of snowflakes and I thought "what the heck" make a Christmas card now. I also thought I could then enter it into Sparkle's Christmas Card Challenge this week only to find out that she has a red/blue color challenge this time. Oh well. It does fit into her challenge from CCC week #6 which is to dry emboss.

Materials
Stamps: Tangle fairy-Sweet November Stamps, sentiment-Savvy Stamps
Paper: Scrap dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, MS punch, CTMH inks, foam tape, CB folder, rhinestones

Chibi FFF sketch

Here's my take on a nice simple sketch for the latest FFF sketch challenge. Used up the last of this dp scrap too. Joy! This was super easy to put together. Made another one using the same layout for tomorrow's post.
Survivor starts up again tonight!!! I think this is going to be a very interesting season with the "Heroes vs. Villains" theme. Some of my favs are back! Do I root for nasty Russel again, or cheer for lovable Rupert? Dilemma....
Materials
Stamps: TGF Chibi Cake, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: Scrap dp, CTMH cs,
Other: Copics, MS punch, Robin's Nest pebbles, CB folder, CTMH inks

Hello Maisy!

So here's the card I created around this ribbon, which is actually from the packaging that came from my new slippers. Totally had to save this! So can this paper be any brighter?! Lol! But what other image is a perfect fit for this paper than a Ketto? Maisy was calling out to ink her up.

Hope you all are having a great week. Getting ready for card class tomorrow.

Materials
Stamps: Ketto-Stamping Bella, CTMH For All Occasions and Fringed Phrases
Paper: Scrap dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, CTMH inks, misc. ribbon, EK punch, rhinestones

Sweet Sunday #55

Can you say bright and cheery?! Lol! I pulled this crazy paper out of my stash specifically because it matched a ribbon for tomorrow's card. This is what I created out of the leftovers.

The layout for this is from Sweet Sunday Challenge #55
It was a fun sketch and I had just enough paper to complete it. This cute image is another RAK from Sparkle. Thought she went perfectly with the whole idea of the card.
Pizza night at The Rock again with the girls. Yummy in my tummy! Lol! ;)
Materials
Stamps: RAK image, CTMH Simple Stitches and Say it in Style
Paper: Scrap dp and cs
Other: Copics, CTMH inks and paper piercer, foam tape, 'Lil Davis ribbon, EK punch

Raise The Bar #4 and a CASE

First things first.....YAY SAINTS!!!!! Who dat?!! I had faith that they could win......but now what will I watch on Sundays? :(

Back again with another challenge card. This one is for the Raise The Bar #4 which asks to use hearts. Since I am so sick of Valentine cards now, I decided to make a more "universal" love card. I can use this for pretty much anything with this sentiment.

The layout is a CASE from my blogging friend Michelle. Check out her simple and elegant card and how she made her flower. I used my Nesties to create my layered flower out of stamped cs and colored vellum. So fun that I made two! I was able to use up some more scrap on these cards too. Yay!

Materials
Stamps: CTMH Playful Flourishes, Say It In Style, and Fringed Phrases
Paper: Scrap dp, cs, and vellum
Other: Nesties, CB folders, CTMH inks, white ribbon and button, EK punches, misc. purple ribbon, chipboard heart, liquid pearls

Gorjussness

As promised yesterday, here's another card I made using the SAME 3 sheets of 6x6 paper used in yersterday's and Thursday's cards. This paper was fun. I took advantage of the words on the one sheet to use as my sentiment. Did that on yesterday's too (did ya notice?). Sorry the lighting is kinda bad. Didn't notice until just now and I'm too lazy to retake it. Lol!

This is my favorite card of the week. I actually waited for my new Nesties to arrive to finish this card since I "visioned" this outcome. Just wondering where those ink smudges came from. :/ Happens when you're happily covered in ink I suppose! ;)

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! GO SAINTS!!

Materials
Stamps: RAK Gorjuss Girl
Paper: RAK KI Memories dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, Nestie Label 7, Stickles, foam tape, $1 rhinestones, CTMH ink and marker

Double the Mojo, double the fun!

Here again with some more challenge cards. I used the same paper as my card from Thursday. Trying to get the most out of my paper. So I made not only these two cards, but I also have one to share tomorrow. I think this is the last of my Valentine cards. Getting a little tired of it. I'm feeling like birds and trees and all things "spring-y".

So this card is my take on last week's Mojo Monday #123. I really liked Teresa's sketch and I think I'll definately be using it again. This Gorjuss Girl is super precious. Thanks Amy!

This cute little card follows this week's Mojo #124. Isn't this Hug a Bug too cute?! Nona let me ink him quite a while ago, and I thought he'd be perfect with this paper and good-'ol Valentine's.
Materials
Stamps: RAK Gorjuss Girl and Hug a Bug w/ sentiment
Paper: RAK Ki Memories, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, CTMH ink and ribbon, CM flowers, AC buttons, EK punches, foam tape, Kaiser rhinestones, Heidi Swapp chipboard heart, Stickles

Wild Card MTSC#59

Another challenge card today. This one is for CA&F Wild Card Wednesday which asks for green and purple (one of my fav combos) and follows Mercy's sketch for this weeks MTSC#59. The purple Copics photographed kinda weird....and I kicked myself again for not stamping the sentiment BEFORE I ran the paper through the Cuttlebug. Oh well.

Materials
Stamps: Reeta-TFG, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: DCWV dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, CTMH ink, CB folder, Robin's Nest pearls, foam tape, misc. ribbon

I believe in fairies!

Especially super cute ones designed by my blogging friend, Amy! This week she is a guest over at Quixotic Challenges where her Sweet November stamps (which are available HERE) are featured in the "I Believe In Fairies" challenge. All you have to do is incorporate a fairy somewhere in your creation. Since I {heart} Amy's fairy sweets, I decided to use Fidget for my main image. Can't wait to play with the new releases that should be arriving on my doorstep sometime next week!

The sketch for this card is very loosely based on the Sweet Sunday Sketch #54, very loosely. I just bought this MS border punch with my coupon at M's the other day and I love it! Makes a mess though with all those dots.

Materials
Stamps: Tangle Goblinspider-Sweet November Stamps, CTMH Say It In Style
Paper: KI Memories dp, CTMH cs
Other: CTMH ribbon, inks, and paper piercer, Copics, foam tape, CM flowers, AC button, Recollection apoxy stickers, Spica white gel pen.

Clean & Simple FTL#76

This is my first shot at a Clean & Simple sketch.....and I like it! I wanted to use some more stamps from my Unity Jan. KOTM. Aren't these puzzle pieces fun?! Went with a simple color scheme too. Same dp as yesterday's card was used here to stamp out my pieces, then just some kraft paper and ribbon and I was done in a jiff!
Love the sentiment, but don't like the writing I ended up using. Oh well.
Materials
Stamps: Unity Jan. KOTM, CTMH Togetherness
Paper: Kraft paper, CTMH cs and dp
Other: CTMH inks, paper piercer and ribbon, foam tape, CB folder

It's a TGF kinda card

Hello all! Back today with another challenge card. This one combines two challenges brought on by the lovely ladies at The Greeting Farm and Club Anya and Friends. TGF's Farm Fresh Friday challenge called for a monocramatic color scheme, and the sketch is from Jessica's Sketchy Saturday challenge over at CA&F.
Ruby is my favorite of the newest Sprouts and I thought she'd be fun on this card. Everything just came together like magic. It didn't take me very long at all to finish it. Used some fun new flowers and dp, as well as a cool piercing guide tool--those plastic mesh things that my grandma uses to make bookmarks and all kinds of stuff with yard or thread. Nona's great idea, plus they only cost like 40 cents! Got a regular sheet of it too that I cut up into 12 squares to give to my card class (and one for me) as piercing guides for straight lines. That's what I used on yesterday's card. :)
Having pizza and drinks with the girls tonight. LOVE Rock Pizza and Brewery! YUM!!
Materials
Stamps: TGF Ruby, CTMH For All Occasions and Togetherness
Paper: CTMH cs and Topstich dp
Other: CTMH inks, ribbon, piercing tool and flower, Copics, CB folder, foam tape, Coluzzle

MTSC #58 and RTB #3

As promised....a challenge-filled week. This card is made using Mercy's sketch #58 challenge. Super simple layout which is perfect for a boy card. No extra frill and froo-froo required. ;)

I also used a SUPER old piece of dp from an older that dirt DCWV stack to fit in with the Raise The Bar challenge which called to use something "old". I don't even know why this paper was still in my stash, but I works perfect with this image I got from my friend Sparkle. Isn't he cute?! My little buddy Tyler has his 2nd birthday this month. I know he'll see this image and say "Rwaarr!" He knows about dinosaurs! Hee hee!

Materials
Stamps: RAK image, CTMH Fringed Phrases and For All Occasions ss
Paper: CTMH cs, DCWV "dp"
Other: Copics, EK border punch, paper piercer, CTMH inks and sanding kit
