Have I mentioned how much I love Amy's candy?! I've had so much fun making stuff with all the cool things she sent. Case in point.....when I saw these orange circle flowers in the bag I knew what I wanted to make with them. I also knew that Dahila would be the perfect image. Isn't she fun?!

Card class tonight

Card Class tonight! Here are three of the four cards they're going to make, along with this card. I'm going to teach them about adding texture with Liquid Glass, creating "faux" buttons, and how to get the most out of their ribbon.

These are straight from the Twitterpatted Workshop on the go. This kit is sooo cool! You get a full Level 2 paper pack, stamp set, instructional brochure to make two-page layouts and these cards, and this kit comes with a full Ribbon Round container. Each Workshop kit comes with it's own EXCLUSIVE stamp set that isn't available in the catalog! This kit comes with this super adorable set that includes mushrooms, a hedgehog, a branch and things to embellish them with.

If you live in the Seattle/Everett WA area and would like to come to one of my classes, please contact me. If you'd like more info on the Workshop on the Go kit I can help you with that too.

Materials: Twitterpated Workshop on the Go kit, Intrinsic Backgrounds ss, liquid glass, copper bitty brads, hemp. Chocolate, crystal blue, sweet leaf, and sorbet inks.

CASEing with my Candy

So I received Amy's "candy, candy, candy" in the mail last Wednesday and I FINALLY had time to play with all the awesome goodies! For my first card, I wanted to try my best at CASEing Amy's original card that she sent with the candy....and let me tell you...Amy's work is much more STUNNING in person! Since I don't have a light box, or the skills to alter my stamps as Amy does, I used Birthday Anya in her full splendor. I was able to mimic the spotted dress and the coloring using my colored pencils. Tell me what you think! More creations to come this week!

Quick post

Just a quick post before I'm off to a Masonic meeting tonight....

**EDIT**This was my take on Sarita's card she made for the CTMH Consultants' SOTM blog hop this month. I loved her random stamping and the layout, so I CASE'd it and put my own spin on things.

This was the make & take at a CTMH hostess party last night. It uses the SOTM for September: "Treasures". I'm totally LOVING this set! Everybody at the party had fun designing their own paper with random stamping. A little liquid glass on the dotted paper and the stamped center image texturize it for them. Remember that "Treasures" is ONLY available through the end of the month! If you'd like to get your hands on a set, let me know!

Materials: All CTMH. Twitterpated L2pp, Treasures ss, chocolate, sweet leaf, sorbet, and crystal blue inks, liquid glass, copper bitty brads, sorbet ribbon, 3d pop dots, sponge.

OMG!! Did I really finish a Mojo on a Monday?!

Well this is truly a rarity! I actually did a Mojo Monday sketch ON a Monday! What a concept! Ha ha! This is for Mojo Monday #104. I kinda went out of the box with this one. Used a lot of extra junk just hanging around. The chipboard pieces and dp were all random scrap. I love kraft paper, need to use it more often. Enjoy!

Materials: Kraft paper, scrap dp, $1 bin chipboard and rhinstones, lace from Grandma. Boutique Borders ss, Thoughtful Seasons ss (sentiment), hollyhock stitched ribbon, and black ink from CTMH.

Birthday Tattoo and some candy!

YIPPEE!! It's finally my birthday!! I love birthdays! I don't care that I'm getting older (31), I still feel like I'm 27. It's all about how you feel, not your age.

So onto my sharing today.... First off, I won Amy's "candy, candy, candy" giveaway today! I guess birthdays ARE lucky! I can't wait to play with all the goodies! Be sure to stop by Amy's blog. She does some AMAZING work! Thanks again Amy!!

Second is my TATTOO!! Josie, Becky, and I all went to see a talented artist up in Marysville named Lee. She has already done three fantastic tattoos on Becky's boyfriend Jason. All three of us girls decided to get a friendship type of tattoo, and with much research, agreed on this Celtic knot for friendship. I had Lee put in some green for coloring. Josie went with blue/turquoise, and Becky is going to go purple/magenta and is waiting to find the perfect spot (she's big about symmetry on her body). I love it, and it's already healing up fast. This is the smallest of my four tattoos, so that might be why it's so quick to heal.

Off to have a BIG birthday shin-dig at my fav pizza joint tonight with about 15 (an counting) friends! Thanks for stopping by today!

Quick Thank You note cards

I was asked by a fellow Jobie to make some Thank You cards for a leadership training course this weekend. Mary wants to teach the Jobie girls how to properly write a "thank you" note. With all the groups and individuals donating time and money to Job's Daughters, it's important that the girls learn to send nice thank you notes in a timely manner.

These are what I came up with for her. Simple one-dimensional note cards. I was able to crank out 30-5.5x4.25 note cards in about a half hour. They use the September SOTM, "Treasures" which is one of my favorite SOTMs in a long time. It's so pretty and very versatile. Check it out on my sidebar. Let me know if you'd like to get your hands on a set!

Materials: All CTMH. Treasures SOTM ss, Everyday Celebrations ss (sentiment), colonial white cs, chocolate and petal inks.

Vacation Mojo

So I've been on vacation since Sunday, and this is the first thing I have a chance to make?! This is for Mojo Monday #103. Where is my vacation going?! I guess I can say that I've had a lot of fun so far with friends and family. This is also my birthday week--birthday's on Saturday--and I've been celebrating almost everyday.

Sunday--It was my Uncle's birthday and I haven't seen him in years. My parents and I went to his party and it was sooo nice to see him and catch up.

Monday--Trip to Ikea with my good friend Josie (how can you spend $130 and feel like you didn't really NEED those things?). Then we met up with Becky for drinks, then we all were invited to a kegger where the dude got the keg for free. That was a great day!

Tuesday--Recovery day ;) Free pizza at my favorite place, The Rock, for a work meeting. Then a big nap, then read "My Sister's Keeper" for a few hours. Great book!

Wednesday--Forgot that I get to watch "Ellen" since I'm not working! Yeah! Did some much needed chores and worked on today's post. Then off to a Masonic meeting at 3pm that lasted until 11pm! We initiated 8 new members into Ladies Oriental Shrine. One was my cousin Tami.

Today--Woke up at 8am, worked on a card collection project. Finished up Mojo card for today's post. Now off to get ready for my Mom to take me for a Birthday pedicure. Later, Josie and Becky are taking me to the tattoo parlor to show the artist my design for a tattoo for my birthday present from them! Excited!

Friday--Will try to work on lots of crafts. Then at night, we're going back to the tattoo artist to get my tattoo done! OMG! Can't wait!

Saturday--MY BIRTHDAY!!! I'm turning 31! Might go to a fair in Seattle, then back to The Rock for more pizza, beer and maybe a bucket with all my homies!

Sunday--Probably another recovery day full of PJ's and movies. ;)

Sorry for the incredibly long post. Just wanted to share what's been going on lately. Hope you got some giggles out of it!
Materials: Stamps-Miss Rain Anya-TGF. Sentiment, ink, liquid glass, dp and cs--CTMH, Crayola colored pencils, Stickles, pop-dots, scrap lace from Grandma.

Card for hire--Lion

This card was especially made for my girlfriend's dad who turned the big 5-0 yesterday. One of his favorite animals are lions and he has a full back tattoo of a lion's head which is really cool. So in honor of his love for lions, I created this card with photos I found off the internet. His whole family has a great since of humor, so I wanted to make this card whitty and give them all a good laugh. He really loved it.

Materials: All CTMH. Back Country L2pp, colonial white and desert sand cs, cocoa ink, cocoa grosgrain ribbon, basic button collection, hemp, sanding kit.

Other: Lion pictures off the web, scrap brown paper, CB houndstooth folder, computer font.

Farm Fresh not-so-Friday...

I'm starting to dabble back into my usual challenges, but it took me a while with this one. After my busy weekend, I set aside the time to do something with some of my new purchases. One of them---Making Memories die-cut stack of 30-5x7 sheets. I love, love, love houndstooth! I found this treasure at my local Tuesday Mornings where I bought it for ONLY $1.49 (regular price is $5.99)!! This is my new fav spot to dig for scrap finds!

This was a great choice for the FFF challenge over at TGF. I used my Hello Go Rounds TGF stamps that I won a few weeks ago. I think I'll be having a lot of fun with these.

Materials: Hello Go Round stamps--TGF, Making Memories die-cut dp, Nesties scalloped circles, EK circle punch. CTMH cs, inks, ribbon, and sparkles.

Scrapbooking? What's that? ;)

Yeah, I still know how to scrapbook and I was actually inspired by the *NEW* Twitterpatted dp to create this layout. Don't you just "heart" the new chipboard buttons and felt die-cuts?!

This is from my friend Jimmy's birthday (so long ago that I don't know which birthday!) when we took him to The Cheesecake Factory in Bellevue. Jim absolutely LOVES cheesecake. He requests me to make him one any time he can con me into it. It's actually my favorite thing to make. Everyone that come to Jimmy's birthday were Mariner HS c/o'97. Yeah baby! We're all still pretty tight.

Materials: Twitterpated L2pp and Organic dimensional elements, Heartfelt Die-Cuts (Wonder), Boutique Alpha ss, Friendship Alpha ss, Simple Stitches ss, colonial white ink, chocolate ink, hemp.
