My favorite card this week:

Hello everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend! After I'm off work today, I'm headed to Lake Cavanaugh with some friends for some much needed and deserved R&R! I can't wait!!

For today's card, I used two challenges. First is this week's SCRSC #3 which is an inspiration challenge by using the picture above. I took the colors from the photo to use in my card. Since I don't really have a good Copic color to match this greeny color, I decided to paper piece Charlotte's dress and head scarf. I really, REALLY like the way this turned out! I will definately be doing that again. The second challenge is using Mercy's sketch from this week. It was the perfect layout for this stamp.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you all get to enjoy some sunshine too!

Materials
Stamps: SCRS Charlotte with Rose
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Earth Love dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, foam tape, CTMH inks and ribbon, Sukura pen

TopiaryBella

Another card using a new Bella and some more scraps! Topiary Bella was always one I oogled over everytime I'd see here. You can use this image for just about anything. I also used this week's SFYTT. Great way to use one of my newer Nesties too!

Going to Nona's tonight for some crafty time and some CTMH new product peeks! Can't wait to hang out with my friend and my other CTMH Sistahs! It's been FOREVER!! :D

Materials
Stamps: Stamping Bella TopiaryBella, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: KI Memories dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, foam tape, Nestie die, Prima flowers, misc. button, CTMH inks, Memento ink, rhinestones

PregaBella

This is the one that started it all.....I had just a few images that were RAKs from Sparkle, and I used them all up but I wasn't going to buy any of my own Bellas 'cause I thought I could live without. Little did I know that it only took a friend of mine to say "Hey! I totally NEED a prego card for my sister!" And then my last Bella was officially gone....

Then the shopping spree began!! Now 7 Bellas later, I can make more preggers cards, especially with it being "baby season" soon! Lol! I also used this week's Saturday Sketches for my layout.

Materials
Stamps: Stamping Bella PregaBella, sentiment is Amuse
Paper: Oct. Afternoon Fly a Kite dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, foam tape, Nestie die, skittles, CTMH inks, Memento ink

More scrap bin cards

Here's some more cards I created using pieces from my scrap bin. The first card pretty much gave me the idea to create two simular cards. I still had a strip of the Bo Bunny dp I use on yesterday's card and found the nice B&W MAMBI dp and already stamped CTMH Juniper cs. All the pieces fell together so perfectly that I made the second card too. I also spritzed the stamped focal image with my Tsukineko shimmer spritz that you probably can't see in my photos. Fun, fun!

Materials
Stamps: Marigold image from Amuse, CTMH Fringed Phrases, Intrinsic Backgrounds, and Boutique Borders
Paper: Bo Bunny dp, MAMBI dp, CTMH cs, kraft
Other: CTMH inks, EK punches, Nestie, rhinestones, foam tape, shimmer spritz

Pretty TESC #122

I was rummaging through my scrap bin and came across this cool Bo Bunny dp. It double sided and has both the white side I used for the large panel, and the darker side I used for the punched strip. I thought it was the perfect piece to use for my card for this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #122.

The Vineyard Berry cardstock was in the scrap bin too and it complemented the dp just nicely. It was also used to punch and emboss the butterflies. I also stamped additional flowers on the dp and used my new EK double scallop punch and a new pretty grey ribbon I found at my LSS. The sketch gave me another opportunity to use up some of those metal-rimmed tags that are still hanging around. I really like how this turned out!

Materials
Stamps: CTMH Treasure Life, Playful Flourishes, and For All Occasions ss
Paper: Bo Bunny dp, CTMH cs
Other: CTMH inks and Stardust Glitz, EK border punch, MS butterfly punch, metal-rimmed tag, misc. ribbon, CB folder, rhinestone

Sluggishly Pro-active (?)

Sorry I didn't have a post yesterday. I've just been so busy that when I finally had nothing to do, I did absolutely nothing! I didn't even pick up a Copic. I just vegged and watched movies. Sometimes you need a day like that.
So that explains my odd post title for today. I've been sluggish, but I still managed to create this birthday card for my friend Jimmy. His birthday is in two weeks, and I actually have his card ready! That's sometimes an amazing feat! Lol! I usually make them the night before, or the day of! I used the sketch from this week's SCRSC #2. I love this Josh image, mostly because he's perfect to make some cool "dude" cards.
Materials
Stamps: SCRS Turntable Josh, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: KI Memories dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, foam tape, Coluzzle, misc. ribbon, AC buttons, CTMH inks, Memento ink

Yummalicious! MTSC #83

I wish I chose a bolder sentiment. Though I love this Bella sentiment, it just doesn't stand out. Oh well, live and learn. I had fun playing with Mercy's sketch from this week. Tried to think outside the box for the arch and the scallop. Are you sick of Lucy yet? Too bad if you are, 'cause I'm not! Lol! And yet again, I used the same paper from yesterday's card. Waste nothing! ;)

Materials
Stamps: SCRS Swimming Lucy, Stamping Bella sentiment
Paper: Oct. Afternoon Fly a Kite dp, CTMH cs, Amuse kraft
Other: Copics, Coluzzle, foam tape, misc. trim, rhinestones, CTMH ink, Memento ink, CB folder, Stickles, Stardust pen

Bella Baby SSSC#78

Still having fun with my new Bellas! I think I colored this one a little to crazily. Too much pattern going on, but oh well. Someone will like it. I also used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch #78 for the layout.

Materials
Stamps: Stamping Bella BabyCarriageaBella, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: Oct. Afternoon Fly a Kite dp, CTMH cs, Amuse kraft
Other: Copics, CTMH hemp and ink, Memento ink, EK punch, Prima flowers, CB folder, misc. button

Party!

I'm trying the larger sized photo today. Hopefully it's not too big. I just want all the detail on my card to show up. Another fabulous SCRS image. Today is "Cocktail Emily". She's so cute! A tad trying to color, but I'm sure if I practice it'll become easier.

I decided to add some Liquid Glass to the martini liquid to help it stand out, and of course added Stickles to the ruffle in her dress and her headband. It was fun to color the orange slice to look like an actual slice. It might've taken me forever to color this, but I really like how it turned out.

Got some cool news yesterday! While I was at Kla Ha Ya Days Festival this past Sunday, the local scrapbook store had a booth there, and they had a drawing for free stuff, and I WON!! They called and left me a message. Yippee!! Free product and a gift certificate for me! You know that won't go to waste! Lol!
Materials
Stamps: SCRS Cocktail Emily, CTMH Say it in Style
Paper: Sassafras Lass Lollipop dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, CTMH ink and Liquid Glass, Stickles, BG Lemonade buttons, misc. flowers and ribbon, thread

First Bellariffic Challenge

Now that I own some Bellas, I can actually participate in Stamping Bella's Bellariffic Challenges. Yay! Little did I know though......they post what the challenge was LAST week before the current challenge, so I made this using the sketch from last week's challenge. UGH!! Good thing the challenge THIS week is simple: Use a Bella or Fella. So, TA-DA!! It still qualifies! Now that I know their routine, I'll be able to join in the {right} challenges! Lol!

This is my favorite of my new Bellas, but the name is SO LONG! "I-wish-I-looked-this-good-on-a-bike-aBella". My goodness! I thought Mary Poppins was the only one with crazy-long words!

Enjoy your Tuesday. Today I'm going to introduce my friend to the gut-busting hilarity of "The Hangover". Can you believe he's NEVER seen it?! I thought EVERYone has seen that movie! The funniest ever! Can't wait for "The Hangover 2" to come out!

Materials
Stamps: Stamping Bella image, TGF sentiment
Paper: Oct. Afternoon dp, CTMH cs, Bazzil
Other: Copics, foam tape, Coluzzle, CTMH inks, brad and paper piercer

P.S. Yes, it's the same paper as yesterday's card. ;)

Beautiful *ah* Bows?

First off, guess my Blogaversary was Friday. Oops! Sad i missed it and didn't have something extra special to share. Maybe I'll put together some Blog Candy......

So I made this card for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie challenge which is called Beautiful Bows. The idea is to incorporate a bow on your card. ......do you see any on mine? Look closely..... it's a good thing Drucilla has bows in her hair, otherwise this card wouldn't count! I really didn't want to make another card again either! Lol!

I was able to use this cool ribbon I found at a LSS. It has elastic in the band, so it was a bit of a task, but it ended up looking pretty cool.

Happy Monday everyone! Good thing it's MY Sunday! :D

Materials
Stamps: KK Drucilla, CTMH Say it in Style
Paper: Oct. Afternoon dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, CTMH ink and hemp, Memento ink, AC buttons, misc. ribbon, Stickles

A warm hello

Can you tell that I'm loving my new SCRStamps?! This is the other card I made using Charlotte with Rose. She looks very old fashioned paired with the Nook & Pantry dp. I also decided to paper piece her bandanna. I'll have some more SCRS cards to share using my other new images soon.

Another beautiful sunny Sunday! Today I'm helping my Job's Daughters youth group with their booth at Kla Ha Ya Days festival in downtown Snohomish. They're doing face painting and temporary tattoos. I'm going early so I can see all the other vendors before my shift starts at 2pm. If you live in the area, stop by and visit! It's a really cool festival.
Materials
Stamps: SCRS Charlotte with Rose, sentiment is Amuse
Paper: BG Nook & Pantry dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, Coluzzle, CTMH inks, Memento ink, Prima flowers, misc. buttons

Swimming, swimming!

So here's the other card I made using the second colored Lucy image and the same Sassafras paper. This combo was just too cute to use only once! I really like the satin ribbon I found at my LSC. It makes a beautiful bow.

Enjoy your Saturday! I'm off at a decent time and might head up to the Lavender Festival. I've never been, and I love the smell of lavender.

Materials
Stamps: SCRS Swimming Lucy, sentiment is Studio G
Paper: Sassafras Lass Lollipop dp, CTMH cs, Amuse kraft
Other: Copics, Nestie, CTMH ink and liquid glass, Stickles, misc. ribbon, rhinestones, EK punch

As promised....

Back with my second post today. I loved playing with my new Swimming Lucy stamp so much, that I colored two of them the exact same to use with this same paper combo. It was just too cute!

This is my entry for the FIRST Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge! The challenge calls for you to create something that makes you thing of summer. What's more "summer" than lounging in the water with a tasty adult beverage?! Plus this Sassafrass Lollipop paper is so cheery and sunshiny. I also used Taylored Expressions sketch #121, which was a little challenging at first, but I love the way it turned out! It was also another chance to use my new sewing machine. I tried combining two different stitches, and it worked! Yay!!

Materials
Stamps: SCRS Swimming Lucy, CTMH Say it in Style
Paper: Sassafrass Lass Lollipop dp, CTMH cs and brown dp
Other: Copics, Coluzzle, Prima flowers, misc. felt flower and buttons, Making Memories ribbon, CTMH ink, Memento ink, rhinestones, thread

Mercy's sketch, take 2

Back today with another version of Mercy's Tuesday Sketch. I {love} Scooter Chloe! She's so much fun to color! Trying to use up some more of my Nook & Pantry. I swear, this pack is lasting FOREVER!!
I'll be back later today with another Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp card. Playing with Sparkle's "summertime" challenge, the 1st SCRS challenge!
Materials
Stamps: SCRS Scooter Chloe, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: BG Nook & Pantry dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, Nestie, foam tape, CTMH ink, Memento ink, misc. buttons

Same paper, different card

Back today with the same exact paper I used for yesterday's post. Gives a totally different affect when paired with my "other" Charlotte from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. I love how soft everything looks, and the colors are so pretty. I also used Mercy's sketch #82 for the layout. I tweaked this sketch to work for me too. Putting an embellishment where she had it sketched I think would've thrown off the balance of my card. I like how my ruffled-edged ribbon mirrors the ruffles in Charlotte's dress. I made this card for my good friend Jann, AKA "Mama Jann". It's her birthday this Saturday. Sh'es such a great friend!

How you all enjoy your Thursday. It's still nice and sunny here, and a comfortable temperature to really enjoy some outdoor fun.

Material
Stamps: SCRS Charlotte with Rose, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: BG Eva dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, foam tape, Coluzzle, misc. ribbon and button, adhesive backed pearls, CTMH ink, Memento ink

Work before play

Late post again, sorry. Had to do all of my house work before I even touched the computer today! Poor neglected house... :( But all the chores are done now, so I can share with you what I finished up the other night (after I watched a 2yr old for 8+ hours *eek!*).

This card is for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #37 which says "Pink it up!". I have my "new" Eva BG dp to play with that was perfect for the pink challenge. I say new loosely since it's an older pack that I just recently purchased. There's this Etsy seller who sells 1/2 packs of 6x6 packs. Totally perfect for me since I tend to get tired of a pack before I can use it all. I bought 3 other 1/2 packs too. I thought Charlotte looked like she wanted to play with this card and layout, plus she's fun to color. I even outlined her in my RV00 to give her that much more pinkness!

I also tried to follow this week's Sketch Saturday #111, but I had to tweak it to work with the size of my image.

I also bring to you today a picture of my roses that finally decided to bloom! I swear the buds have been teasing me for about two months now. This was a rose from my Grandmother's house. She LOVED roses and had a large rose garden. When she passed, all I requested to have was one of her roses. Peach and pink where her favorite colors. Grandma says "hello" to me every year through this rose. Love you Grandma!

Materials
Stamps: KK Charlotte, CTMH Fringed Phrases
Paper: BG Eva dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, foam tape, adhesive backed pearls, misc. flowers, CTMH inks, Memento ink

LatteaBella (SSSC#77)

Little late getting up today and posting, sorry. Finally able to sleep in a bit on one of my days off...in fact it's been a while since I've had 2 days off. It's been nice!

Anyways....back to the reason you're all here! LatteaBella is another of my recent Stamping Bella purchases. This is me this morning, minus the cute outfit. Lol! I always start my day off with coffee. It's kind of a prerequisite living in the Seattle area I think. ;) I also used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch #77.

Materials
Stamps: Stamping Bella LatteaBella
Paper: October Afternoon Fly a Kite dp, CTMH cs

SFYTT#41 with Bella

First off, how'd you all like the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps blog hop yesterday?! If you missed it, check out my post here. There were some amazing creations using those oh so adorable images. Remember that they are NOW available for purchase, so snatch yours up quick before they're gone!

It's another of my Bella purchases! With one of my best friends pregnant with her first child, I realized I didn't have any cool baby images. I thought BabycarriageaBella was a fun choice for announcements or showers.

I colored Bella to resemble Sara, but she'll say "where's my crazy curly hair?"! It's a straightener day Girl! Sara's going to have a girl, but I colored this more boyish I guess. Now I'll just have to make her another one! I used this week's SFYTT#41 for the layout.

Materials
Stamps: Stamping Bella BabycarriageaBella and sentiment
Paper: BG Lime Rickey dp, CTMH cs, kraft
Other: Copics, foam tape, Nestie die, CB folder, CTMH blue button and hemp, EK punch, $1 bin green buttons, Memento ink

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Grand Opening Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Grand Opening blog hop for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!

To start at the beginning of the blog hop, please go to the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps. Today is an exciting day as we're releasing 8 new darling stamps! And we're giving away a ton of prizes! One lucky person will win the grand prize of all 8 images. There are also 5 single stamp prizes hidden, so make sure you comment on everyone's blogs! You will have until midnight Eastern time to comment and the winners will be announced on the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps blog.

I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of Scooter Chloe. I know when I first saw her, I BEGGED Sparkle if I could buy one! Chloe is such a fun and cheerful image. Super fun to color too! I just hope she realizes that she's lost one of her packages!

Another must have for me is Turntable Josh. I have a lot of friends that are in bands and I like to go to live shows in the clubs of Seattle. Josh totally reminds me of some cool DJ dude enjoying spinning his vinyl and getting the crowd dancing. Great image for masculine cards!

Thank you to Sparkle for thinking of me when planning your Grand Opening. I'm excited for you and can't wait to see where this new venture takes you... and all of us! So far, so FABULOUS Girl!

SSSC #76

Back again with another sketch challenge card. This one is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #76. Super simple layout, which is perfect since I wasn't feeling the Mojo when I made this and yesterday's card. Notice I used the same EXACT paper? Hey, the scraps where sitting right there, so why not?! I bought these great salmon colored buttons in bulk at a LSC, but when I went to use this one it had this huge hole in the middle. Very odd, but I used it as an opportunity to put a rhinestone to cover it up!

Don't forget to come back for the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Grand Opening blog hop tonight at midnight. Adorable new stamps to oogle at, purchase, and possibly WIN!!

Enjoy your weekend! Our 90+ temps are supposed to stay strong again today. I'm so glad summer is finally here!!

MTSC #81 and my first Bellas!

(I decided to do a second post to "catch-up"! Lol!!)

Well, they're my first purchased Bellas! I've had a few RAK Bellas that I've used in the past, but I really needed so wedding and baby images and I love the Stamping Bella images. This one in particular. I was first introduced to Bellas through my friend Sparkle. She just has a way where she really makes the images fun and colorful. As homage to Sparkle's enabling (heehee!) I decided to add a few of Sparkle's favorite embellishments--Primas and bling!
This card also uses Mercy's sketch from this last Tuesday.

Materials
Stamps: Stamping Bella image and sentiment
Paper: BG Kioshi dp, CTMH cs, kraft
Other: Copic, Coluzzle, EK punch, Primas, pearls, CTMH inks, misc. ribbon

Yes, I'm still alive!

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. My holiday weekend was a little crazy, then I spent my one day off with an ill tummy from all my holiday gorging. Then busy helping one of my bestest friends register for her baby. I'm done looking at pink and frilly baby girl stuff!....for now. ;)

Oh yeah, I do actually have something to share today! Lol! This card I made for this week's Sketch Saturday where the prize is two of the totally brand-spankin-new Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!! Sparkle is sponsoring this week's challenge and the prizes are the NEW Surfin' Oliver and Charlotte with Rose. So don't look too closely at my colored image. I guess I got a little impatient for the Memento to dry before I colored, and it gave me this sort of blurry, "feathered" look. Good thing this is a bird image, so it doesn't look too bad!

Let me tell you, I have a couple of Sparkle's CUTE stamps and they are super fun and adorable!! Be sure to stay tuned to my blog this Friday/Saturday at midnight EST for the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Grand Opening blog hop! {There will be PRIZES!} I am one lucky gal to be able to participate in this awesome addition to our crafty world!

Materials
Stamps: BG Value stamps
Paper: BG Nook & Pantry dp, CTMH cs
Other: Copics, misc. ribbon and button, Robin's Nest dew drops, CTMH inks, Memento ink

Farm "Freaky" Friday

I finally got myself a Freaky cake girl from TGF. I'll probably get the other two to round out the collection, but Flutter isn't as "freaky" as her sisters and can be used in a more cutesy way. This card is a special birthday card for Lara, the owner of the shop where I sell my cards. Extra special to show her how much I appreciate her doing business with me.

I also used the FFF sketch from last week's challenge. This week calls for stitching, and it just so happens that I bought this machine at Big Lots the other day for ONLY $30!! And it's awesome!! It even came with this orange thread that conveniently matched my card!
Hope you all have a fun and safe Independence Day weekend! I'm off to my friend's parents' house for another birthday celebration, then back to work in the morning. Only have to work 4 hours though, then it's off to another party! Yippee! Remember to think of and pray for our Service men and women making this holiday something seriously special to celebrate. I'm sure my brother and his Army buddies are going to blow up some pop cans and silly stuff in Afghanistan to commemorate the day. Haha!
Materials
Stamps: TGF Freaky Flutter digi, CTMH Say it in Style ss
Paper: BG Green at Heart dp, CTMH cs

More to "Treasure"

Happy July everyone! This time I bring you another Treasure Tempestwind card sans her buddy Eddy. I pretty much colored here the same and used the same paper as this card I made for my Sweet November guest spot. Just trying to use up another paper pack! I kinda like the pink striped dp that looks like it has algae growing on it! Haha!

Have a great Thursday! My "Special Edition" card {box} class is tonight. We'll be making a card box to hold all the cards that they've made in my classes so far.

Materials
Stamps: Sweet November Treasure Tempestwind CTMH For All Occasions
Paper: CTMH Daydream L2pp
